Building History

We are proudly located in the historic First National Bank Building in downtown Albuquerque. Totaling nine stories, our city's first skyscraper was constructed in 1922 with the design and inspiration of Trost & Trost, an El Paso architecture firm that was well-known in the region.

Standing at 141 feet, it was by far the tallest building in the city for more than 30 years. The interior of the first floor is finished almost entirely in grey streak marble and features vaulted ceilings rising to a majestic 28 feet. This beautiful example of the roots of banking in Albuquerque is now considered a Registered Historic Place.
